Pelicans sounds ok for a baseball name but is a god awful NBA name

Minor league baseball is pro sports, and I absolutely hate and detest The Greenville Drive. In a sport known for great names like the Lansing Lugnuts and the Montgomery Biscuits and the Vermont Lake Monsters, we have the Drive. With a goofy frog as a mascot. Most ridiculous name I've seen

The Baby Cakes baby makes me think of that cigar smoking baby from Roger Rabbit. One of the names that lost was Night Owls. They could have been the NO-NOs!

I think the Lookouts were named for events from the Revolutionary War. That's their AA (or AAA) baseball team. I would give them a pass for sure.
Now the UTC Moccasins - well I'm not sure about that, but the mascot looks like - well, an Indian moccasin. I would put them on the list, but a lot, and I mean a lot, of things are named after Indian names in the Chattanooga area. Chattanooga is possibly the coolest place I have ever lived.

The gamecawks. I eat their mascot on a daily basis. Their mascots is an illegal activity. Their woman have to shout 'go c0cks' and sport shirts with #### on it. Their cheers and apparel have sexual innuendo tied to them...great for a 17-18 year old daughter to get wrapped up in to. AND, apparently they have some weird tradition of impregnating some sacrificial tramp in a parking lot before/after a game. There's no comparison in my eyes.

We have some decent names in charleston. Riverdogs, Stingrays, Charleston battery. At one point we had a minor AFL team called the Sharks.
