I've even heard of most of these groups.
I'll say Hootie and The Blowfish because several of their guys went to college in Columbia.

Sweaty Teddy put on a good rock show back when there

really were Rock Shows. I also saw Styx in concert, as well as Kansas. I don't relly understand why they are on that list. Dennis DeYoung did change and become pretty weird.
Worst concert I ever saw was Chicago without Peter Cenetra. They were terrible.

Nugent put out three really great records...

the eponymous first album, Free For All, and Cat Scratch Fever but became ridiculously formulaic in his songwriting after that. There is no denying that he is a fine guitarist and an accomplished showman though. Saw Ted in '78 amd it was an excellent show.
Styx, Styx II, Equinox, Crystal Ball, and the Grand Illusion were fine records and Styx was an accomplished prog-rock act that could carry over into the mainstream with certain songs. The went full ###### commercial with Pieces Of Eight and never really recovered, coupled with the internal bickering among Tommy Shaw and Dennis DeYoung. Saw Styx in 78, good show with Wet Willie opening. Weird combo.
Never saw Kansas live, but there is little denying those guys were a fine prog-rock band and accomplished musicians. Leftoverture and Point Of Know Return were both good records and just commercial enough to break through with some radio play, and I can get a little bored with some of their stuff. I prefer my prog more along the lines of Yes, who I consider to be the pinnacle of the genre.
All in all, those three bands all contributed to the landscape of classic rock and all have music woth hearing.
As for Chicago, up until Terry Kath died, they were an incredible band. They churned out volumes of fantastic music that truly touched on multiple genres. They started moving toward the sugary-sweet commercial stuff with Chicago VIII and continued down that path and finally lost me with Hot Streets in 1978. I defy anyone to go back and listen to their first six records and NOT categorize them as one of the greatest band of the era. Consummate songwriting and superb musicianship.

It was as lot of suck. However, Jerry Cantrell and AIC opened for them and made it worthwhile.
Props for adding Good Charlotte.

His talent is diverse. He puts out stuff that gets played on the radio. Most of it is hard to listen to when sober. He also does things that shows he respects older music.

Devil Without a Cause is a really good album, one of the best albums of the Rap-Rock genre. The song "F*** Off" ft Emimem and Joe C is a pretty sick tune. That was some really early Emimem before his Slim Shady LP I believe.
Woodstock '99 youtube of Kid Rock is pretty cool (and has bewbs)

his fame and fortune and likes to share his gratitude with his fans.
Hank III apparently is not fond of him, though. Was there a rumor that Kid Rock could be a descendant of Hank Williams, somehow?
