Word Problem - A cart and 4 mules
Oct 20, 2014, 3:59 PM
|
|
BACKGROUND
You have a cart that is designed to be pulled by 1 mule. You have 4 mules in the pasture.
DETAILS
MULE 1 is the best mule you've every owned. Fast and reliable but he is currently injured.
MULE 2 - you raised from from a foal. He knows you and is familiar with your wagon. He also looks good in his bridle. However, he is really slow and if you are trying to get somewhere on a deadline - he runs all around with very little understanding of the sense of urgency that is required until you end of being late for your appointment. He also gets a little gun shy in heavy traffic. He has a tendency to throw people from the wagon every now and then but the passengers always end up being ok because he did not throw them out too hard or else they bounce off a wagon coming from the other direction and fall harmlessly on the ground.
MULE 3 was sold to you by the guy who owned the big farm down the road. The guy's farm was known far and wide for producing good mules but this particular mule was kept in the pen. (for some reason)
You bought MULE 4 from a farmer who was also selling a PIG you really wanted in an effort to grease the wheel. The scheme did not work and you were unsuccessful in procuring the pig but you still have the mule.
THE PROBLEM
You have to select a mule to pull the wagon. Your job is to make sure that whichever mule you pick is given the best opportunity to succeed despite his shortcomings. Mule 1 is not an option. You have to from Mule 2, 3 or 4.
After a selection is made among the mules - Do you
A) Say to the chosen mule "I don't care what you can or can't do - you are my best mule for today and I support you and depend on you to get me where I am going"
B) Kick the Chosen Mule
C) Kick the Chosen Mule
D) Kick the Chosen Mule

an acceptable topic for the Tiger Football board. Crump would appreciate it if you could limit your topics on this board to actual football talk as opposed to questions about farming. TIA

Can a mule pull a 1984 Mercedes 300SD? It's not as heavy as it looks, how much does the cart weigh and will my big fatazzed ex wife be in it?
Sorry kids, you know I still love mama.

Then there's that mule on the farm down the road that is out of control.
