Wonder if Dino Babers would be a good fit for FSU?

He’s done a decent job at Syracuse. I think the name alone of FSU will get him more talent than he can get at Syracuse.

I don’t know about that. I think FSU would be much easier to recruit to; certainly would get better talent that wanted to come to Tallahassee - as opposed to Syracuse.
And we saw what Dino accomplished with good players.

Folks who just did a private fundraising of $20M to buyout Taggart, you’re not going to hire a sitting 3-6 coach. I agree with you that he’s seemed to have a good team up there and with legitimate talent could be successful but I don’t think FSU is going to be looking for a project.

like him for some reason. He is in his 4th year at Sarahcuse. He had a good QB last year and happened to win a few games. But now he is back to losing, like normal.

Nope they are not taking a Coach who has basically only had 1 good season.
The Cuse have been pitiful except for last year , heck the year they beat us they lost 8-9 games. I bet they go after BV and Scott , we know BV will turn it down .

Everyone here thought Willie Taggart was a terrible hire from day 1 yet many of those same people think Dino Babers would be good for FSU.
Babers record at Cuse - 21-23 (48%)
Taggart record before FSU - 47-50 (48%)
Somebody please explain.

When Syracuse beat us, then played us tough last year, I gave credit to not only a good QB, but to the coach. As a superficial fan, I didn’t dig into five years’ worth of records, stats, etc. So, yes, I am probably way off; Babers is a bad fit, etc. As for Taggart, I had no idea - or opinion - whether he was the answer for FSU when hired, either. As far as I knew, the Tigers had never played his team(s). Meh!?
Therefore, I will drop out of this thread and get back to wringing my hands over why the coaches still have Alabama as #1. I suppose - as the 24/7 writer ‘opined’ - it has something to do with them “. . . coming off the bye week with some very good momentum. . . “ going into the LSU game. Surely there are some stats somewhere to back that up, but I’m too lazy to look.

That said, during his three seasons at WKU, he never finished any better than 7-5. Not too bad but certainly nothing to write home about.
At UCF, he was there four seasons and had one decent year and one really good season (8-5 and 10-2 respectively).
Again...not too bad but certainly nothing to write home about.

like SP+ and FPI had Cuse ranked like 40th. Nearly beating us was probably their best performance of the season. They got housed by Notre Dame.
