Will the weakness of the ACC....

Dec 26, 2019, 11:14 PM

eventually hurt attendance at Clemson games? I know a lot of people don’t like to travel to an expected blowout game and would rather watch it on tv. I live in Mississippi and only make it to 2-4 games a year, and was wondering what people thoughts were who lives closer.

If I lived across the street I would still rather watch on TV.

Hopefully the ACC will get better with the hiring of better coaches like Mack Brown and Scott Satterfield, but if the ACC continues with years like this one I believe it could hurt Clemson’s attendance

The ACC is a pretty good basketball conference...

but our basketball attendance is a joke, because the team isn't good.

The conference doesn't matter a hill of beans as long as Clemson has a top ranked team, people will come to the games.

No there’s great attendance for every home game. You only get 7 a year

I enjoy blowouts better than close games.

Depends on what one calls "weakness"!

Just a few seasons ago the ACC was the Bowl Challenge Cup winner at 9-3(2016). This year it's been crazy to hear all the hype. The ACC has the same number of teams with a winning record as does the "vaunted" SEC. Same number as the Big 10(7). The rest of the bowl eligible teams I didn't include because they were .500.

It isn't helping attendance along with the rising cost to go to a game. But, it won't start hurting it just yet. If the perceived weakness of the ACC is consistently mentioned perhaps! But, people are smarter than that I think. Eventually they will start looking at facts instead of what the TV talking heads say!
