My ex turned into one about 15 years in and I live with her another 15 so I've had a hippo. I'm holding out for a zebra or maybe a bear this time.

the game. I'm not worried about Grandma getting run over by the reindeer though a herd of elk might come along and get her.

Story about that...

Nov 24, 2017, 10:17 AM

When my wife was pregnant with our son (born the last week of December) we went out on a cold night in late November. She was wearing on of those fluffy blouses with frills that pregnant women think make them look thinner, and old high school letter jacket that she got for band, that she buttoned up. From behind her pregnant rear-end was huge and the jacket made those frills stick out to make it worse.
I went into hysterics and she asked why? In a moment of absolute stupidity I said " You look like a hippopotamus in a tutu." She teared up and I thought that I had really effed up completely, then she started to laugh hysterically too. "That's exactly what I thought when I saw myself in the front mirror."
A week later in the Hallmark store I found a "hippopotamus in a tutu" tree ornament" and gave it to her for Christmas. She cherished it. It is always the first ornament on our tree to this day!

They are quite mean and aggressive animals.

And I live on a 1/3 acre lot in SC with no riverside access.

And the HOA Prez can be a rather big prick. His knowledge of all the neighborhood “rules” and “regulations” is troubling, IMO.

My family already has a cat. That’ll do for now.
