15 three stars, remaining are two stars. Chad's starting at the ground floor rebuilding that team. Should be interesting to follow his progress.

He's been interesting to follow. Building a program is definitely a "long term" game, but an intriguing one. Will be interesting to see how much success he will have to have before SMU really takes off, or until he receives a higher profile job.

Rivals ranks only three of his players as 3 star and the remainder were 2 star. It will be hard to compete with Houston,Cincinnati, and the two Florida Schools with those players. I do wish him only the best, but he has a hard situation to overcome.

I much prefer Elliott and Scott. Our offense was much better and less predictable than it typically was under Chad. I appreciate what he did for Clemson, but I think we can do better.

No disrespect to what he'd done to our program. I was kinda glad that he's replaced by Scott and Elliott. Both coordinator turned Stoudt into a world class QB in just a few weeks. Both took us to the Natty. I wouldn't replace them with anybody.

2-3 years ago, it would have been considered "unthinkable", but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see Sumlin shown the door if he has another disappointing season.

True, but he needs to find a defensive coordinator who is going to be there for a while and it is not like SMU is a premier destination for top coordinators. Johnny football put them on the map again, it is not a great place to recruit despite their recent success. He would have to hope that Sumlin lasts another 3-4 years so he can put something together at SMU.
