Why would Feaster not play 4 games and then transfer

Jul 28, 2019, 2:50 PM

instead of joining a team in mid August?

He could've waited 4 games for an injury to ETN and gotten a ton of playing time on a championship caliber team. And then, he could've joined a team in January, practiced all spring, and been ready to go for the fall.

I'm glad he didn't do that, but just seemed like that would've been the smart thing to do selfishly.

The extra year of his life it would take up***

I know SCar isn't good, but that's risky to join a team mid August

Jul 28, 2019, 2:56 PM

But I guess if you're just ready to begin your life after football, then I understand it.

He can play immediately at another.

That is the difference

But not knowing their playbook

Jul 28, 2019, 2:56 PM

And not practicing with them seems risky. Only a bad team or a team in desperate need of a RB will give him much playing time this year. Right?

Didn’t know the coots had a playbook.

He could play immediately somewhere in 2020 because

he graduates in August.

I'm just saying it's difficult to join a team 2 weeks before the season starts. I would stick around and see if ETN gets hurt in first 4 games and then just redshirt.

Then you could start fresh with a team instead of rushing it.

But maybe he's ready to start his career.

Your last sentence is dead on

Taking a RS year just adds more miles onto his legs and that doesn’t do anything positive for his NFL aspirations.

I personally would go to VT just because I think he’s set up for more success against an easier schedule

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Wouldn't really be more mileage on your legs, but

Jul 28, 2019, 3:31 PM

it would delay a year.

The positive would be you could really learn a system and an extra year to get stronger. But maybe the RB position isn't really much to learn and can be done with a couple weeks of practice.

Why not transfer to his new school, play 4 games there this year while learning their system and then coming back for a full year the following season?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Because if he could actually think that far ahead

Jul 28, 2019, 4:48 PM

he would be going to the ######## place in America?

Because he was emotional and felt disrespected. It was done. He was moving on. He didnt want a wait a whole another season to prove himself.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

My question is, where is he training?

Jul 29, 2019, 3:59 AM

Is he still on campus and using Clemson's weight room & etc.? Hopefully he's back home running around the block in Spartanburg.

My guess is that he got the feeling that ETN might not be the only one that he might be behind. He could have redshirted and not had to compete with ETN, most likely, next year. Redshirting and still needing to transfer to have the starting job would have been really bad optics.
