Why we may prefer to be 3 over 2.

Now that we are past FSU we can concentrate on the all important hypotheticals. Also, I know everyone says you have to play Alabama sometime, but I would much prefer play them in the Championship. OK, if the top 4 keep winning we play Michigan if we are 2 or 3. However, if Alabama loses to LSU and Auburn they will still win the SEC and make the playoff at 4. Therefore, the current 2 will becomes the 1 and plays Bama in the first round. Time is better spent worrying about this over Syracuse.

Uh, if Alabama lost both of those games they aren't winning the SEC. LSU and Auburn both have one conference loss.

I do not think we can match Bama's staff on formulating a complete game plan in one week.

I want Bama in ATL after a long layover. They have many more sophisticated and experienced personnel to plan games. We don't have half their staff. My thoughts are that they will reach the point of diminishing returns during a long layoff which Clemson needs to do the same amount of evaluating and planning.

Plus, we beat them and I won't have to eat a bottle of nerve meds during the championship game.
