Mar 22, 2015, 3:57 PM

Moyer hardly warmed up.

and if he didn't go by the book and it backfired there would be complaints then too

People complain when he doesn't change pitchers

Mar 22, 2015, 4:21 PM

now its because he changes to often.

Whats he supposed to do?

I don't know about "people" but for me

Mar 22, 2015, 4:29 PM

it was odd to pull a guy after 9 pitches and then another after 3. In a row.

a Righty -Lefty and a Lefty-Righty matchups

Mar 22, 2015, 4:36 PM

between the pitcher and the batter are not preferred. So you change pitchers to get a Lefty-Lefty matchup or Righty-Righty

good points. And it makes sense. But in the 7th?

Mar 22, 2015, 4:41 PM

Seems like it works better when you are nearing a close.

But then again there is plenty of time for the pen to rest before the next game.

IMO 7th and 8th innings are where you most commonly

Mar 22, 2015, 5:05 PM

see the situational pitching switches. Those are the innings where the bullpen typically has to bridge between the starter and the closer.

I think its trying to figure out the rationale behind his pitching changes and choices that have people baffled.
