The palmetto state is a football state. Always has been. Always will be. They suck at football. We win championships. No series win in a non revenue sport will ever change that.

country to college baseball the way is with basketball and football? I know its a little bigger deal in the Deep South.

D1 college baseball is the equivalent of FCS football. Baseball players don’t even get full scholarships. Unlike football and basketball a lot of the best players out of high school get drafted and never set foot on campus. Believe me I want to see Clemson have a great baseball program but I can’t get near as passionate about it like I can football. The chickens can’t get as passionate about baseball as they can about football either but since they’re getting their butts handed to them in football and Clemson is winning national championships many of them are doing a nice job of pretending.
