Why is everyone picking Oklahoma?

I mean EVERYONE is picking Oklahoma to win tomorrow. Now I love to play the underdog role, but the numbers from this season by comparison just aren't there for the Sooners. I would understand if 50% or so of the "experts" picked OU to win, but it's more like 90-95%, which baffles me.

at any time in the 2nd half against Clemson save FSU...
that's "less than stellar"?
methinks Swinney's penchant for not running up the score on teams has people a bit bamfoozled about this team.

A very interesting matchup. I just think Clemson will find a way to get it done. As someone said "spot the ball"

Well alright. First one I've seen not pick a complete blowout. Gotta pick my team too but it's most likely going to come down to a cpl key plays either way and who steals the momentum.

The media loves the 45 ppg stat, yet they fail to acknowledge the stat that OU's 45 ppg average came against teams with chitty defenses. 6 of their wins were against defenses that were ranked from 100 - 127.

Vegas doesn't make spreads by who's ranked where. They set the line on who they think the better team is. This isn't last yr. We're two diff teams. You should listen to your coach. The defense argument is null and void. We metrically rank a tad higher and the truth is that we've both played some good D's and some very crappy D's. Shutting down Miami is not a huge feat....only in name recognition. They're terrible. Held to 14 by a mike leach team...

Yes, "Vegas" is the expert and look who they are picking. Ignore who they were picking last year, that was just a mistake, this year isn't last year.
What kind of circular logic crap is that?

You can't expect them to understand logic. Their talking points render them completely unable to comprehend the truth.

Even on both sides. Period. You may find it interesting to look at which side has the big bets. You may not like what you read though.

Exactly! But they also will swing it one way based on the public. So they can make $$ on the upset. I would put my house on Clemson today to win.

That was trending upward at the end of the year, and one that was trending down. Then we lose three players to failed drug test. It sure appears to the outside world that we haven't got our stuff together. It should be a close game, another nail biter and heart attack game, but I expect the tigers to will because of dw4, a rested defense, a team that has overcome adversity all year, and a program as a whole that is in a very good place.

The media loves Oklahoma because they are marketable. Not many know who Clemson is.

They were just talking about it on Mike & Mike. Anyway, they are questiong whether we are just a product of a terrible conference. They were talking about how weak the ACC has been in the bowls etc etc.
