Why don't we just do away with divisions ...

Apr 30, 2013, 7:58 PM

two teams with the best records play for the title.

Oh yeah, while we're at it ... a rotational schedule with no "rival" game. Our GT rivalry ain't all that.

Because you only play 8 teams out of 14***

Imbalanced schedule

Apr 30, 2013, 8:56 PM

Because the more imbalanced the schedule gets, the worse that becomes. I'd actually be all for the division to be ranked as such:

1) Division game winning %
2) Head to head if tied
3) In case of 3 way tie introduce non-division conference games

Then play the championship game at the home of the division leader with the best overall conference record.

I'm no fan of the imbalanced schedules, but since there here to stay, I'd think this makes it closer to fair.

ATL area heavily and we need to play at least one of the major schools there every year since UGA will not play us on a annual basis. I'll take a game against GT anyday over Syracuse, Pitt and BC.

Does a game against a school in a specific area really help

with recruiting in that area? If so, you would think thay everybody in the country would want to play in Georgia and Florida as often as possible.

The Gators are the one team in Florida who won't play….

tough ooc games. And what conference do they belong to? Oh that's right the SEC, whose teams on the whole avoid tough ooc games on an annual basis.

If that were the case, we would have played Northern Ill.***
