It makes little sense to me as well. The other conferences play in pristine facilities while the ACC championship is played in an aging dump. Yes, John Swofford should be fired!

I think Charlotte as a city makes sense geographically as it is somewhat central.
I'd prefer it fairly close to Clemson (as it is in CLT) rather than either constantly in Florida or rotating farther away.

There are very few options in the southeast, fans have shown they won't travel to Florida, and I would imagine DC and above would be far worse.
Clemson gets the ACCCG 2 hours from campus and easy driving distance for the majority of the fanbase and still people #####.

CLT not a terrible city (lots of museums uptown like Nascar, etc and decent restaurants) plus it's centrally located overall to ACC teams.
The stadium is still pretty decent & good viewing sites even from upper decks.
AND, close to Clemson & its fans!

Ah, another “let’s all whine and complain” thread. If you children don’t want to sit outside on a cool evening to watch a football game being played the way it was meant to be played , then don’t go to the game. Watching from the climate controlled comfort of your home is the same as sitting in a plush dome. What a bunch of babies.
