and appreciate what he did for Clemson, but the way he left showed a lot of immaturity on his part. Hopefully he's grown since then.

He can get a lot out of the players he coaches. I wish he could have stayed at Clemson, and believe he has regrets about his handling of the situation.

to stand up to UNC. Remember when he yelled at Roy Williams and put a finger in his face at center court? Interestingly, Clemson fans don't seem to give him the same credit they do Rick Barnes for standing up to UNC, which is puzzling to me.

I give him credit for standing up to RW. The thing is, Dean Smith was hated by Clemson much more than any other coach.

If Barnes was still the Tiger coach we wouldn’t have all the “hater” post! Great coach. I hate that he chose Knoxville as his next stop. I’d take him back tomorrow. The slab five was the most untalented team in acc history and he won big games with them and would have won more if not for the tarheel connection to the acc.
