There needs to be more OOC games scheduled between P5 teams. For example, the SEC played a total of 56 games OOC. Only 12 of those were against P5 opponents. The SEC has 14 teams and they played a total of 12 OOC against P5 opponents. They went 9-3 but even their scheduling against P5 opponents is suspect.
Their 9 OOC wins against P5 opponents: 1) Louisville (2-10) 2) Louisville (2-10) 3) Kansas St (5-7) 4) Texas Tech (5-7) 5) Florida St (5-7) 6) Purdue (6-6) 7) Georgia Tech (7-5) 8) Miami(7-5) 9) Washington (10-3) The SEC's lone signature win against P5 opponents is Washington (10-3).
Their 3 OOC loses against P5 opponents: 1) Clemson (13-0) 2) Clemson (13-0) 3) West Virginia (8-3)
SEC should schedule more than 0.85 OOC against P5 teams. Clemson schedules more than twice that amount. Every P5 conference team should be required to schedule two P5 conf teams.
SEC also had 3 other losses against non-P5 oppoenents: 1) Notre Dame 2) North Texas 3) Colorado St
Agreed, the sec does not play OOC P5 games very often. If not for the rivalry games it would be less. This year not withstanding the ACC has been winning the rivary games.
They artificially rank themselves high. So appears they are playing top ranked teams.
Basically no way that UF is a top 9 team and UK is top 15.
