good for him. Hopefully he can make the roster

Oct 23, 2015, 9:29 AM

Wish he could have stayed the year. Would have been good for both. Instead he gets to be the Tallest Midget

He is making 120k per month right? He is doing alright I guess.

I'm thinking if I stick to bags of rice and potatoes, with the occasional bologna sammitchs U could get by on that salary. That's a heck of a living if he ever plays a down or not.

Whoa!

Oct 23, 2015, 10:12 AM

I wish I would have aspired to be an NFL practice squad guy. That's a great salary, more than I'm making now. Too bad I wasn't that good at football.

Only during the season

Still a lot of money, but not the $1.4 million it sounds like

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

really! I wouldn't call any player that is making a living

playing in the NFL, whether it be practice squad or All-Pro, a midget. Is there no such thing as respect anymore?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Is being the highest paid NFL practice player sort of like

Oct 23, 2015, 10:28 AM

being the tallest midget?

Asking for a friend.

anonymity makes people braver than in person, I seriously

doubt that anyone would have the nerve to tell him that!

It is just an expression not an insult. noone is mocking him, just the position that he has put himself in. It is awesome to be where he is, but we all know that he would be better off if he had finished his time here with more experience ( barring injury) and would not be on a practice squad. Could have even gotten a nice signing bonus to boot. Let's not be so sensitive about what guys say on a guys board.

Players only get paid for the season. Still not a bad check for a guy that isn't going to play this year. I would expect he's playing on Sundays next year

He's usually the tallest midget in the room except when Shorty show up with the drag queens rented for the party.

He left TigerTown early...

Oct 23, 2015, 6:10 PM

...so he could make $450k? Huh...still has to be more to it...Certainly he would have made more coming out in the 2016 draft, no?

He has a child he had no way to support in college

Oct 24, 2015, 2:39 AM

his hand was forced it seemed. My guess is he couldn't get the help he needed to provide for the child while staying one more year.

From about $105K a season to a half $Mil based on a 16 game season, isn't nothing to spit at. That sounds like more than he could have made working a job right out of college....

I think this is a typo. $32,000 a week for a practice player? I don't think so.

Re: FB Update: Battle becomes highest paid NFL practice player

Oct 24, 2015, 6:59 AM

He will be making $25,588/week. No typos

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Practice? We're talking about practice.

Oct 24, 2015, 6:55 AM

Not a game. Practice.
