Whoa - Charlotte 49ers going to a bowl!

Congrats to the Charlotte 49ers and Clemson opponent earlier in the season! They are going to a bowl game for the 1st time in their programs short history! They were never FCS and have not had a football program long. 7-5 and going bowling.

In fact, BC won today - they are bowl eligible.

U of Non-Compliance beat Nancy St. so they are bowl eligible.

Louisville is bowling.
FSU is eligible.
A&M is eligible.
Wake is eligible.
Wofford lost today in the FCS playoffs but was 8-4.

Charlotte had better get some mileage out of their young coach(just turned 30) because the big boys will be coming after him soon.

Go Tigers!

***Win the ACC then get ready for Burreaux!

Charlotte got a good one with Healy

He'll be moving up to the AAC probably before long. And to the P5 soon after that.

He will get some looks. Everybody is trying to find the next Dabo Swinney, Lincoln Riley, etc. He would be making a mistake moving to some pressure cooker right now. But, moving forward with his energy and his passion, he has what it takes to recruit well. Probably hard to get top talent to Charlotte - but he has that type of personality.

Interestingly enough, my wife went to college with him

She didn't know him, but in reading some Phil Steele the other night, I came across the fact that he went to University of Richmond from 2004-2008.... the same timeframe my wife went there.
