Who will continue our string of 1st round draft choices.....

May 1, 2015, 11:44 AM

in 2016? Who do you predict will be a 1st round choice next year?

Mike Williams will be a first round pick barring injury. Probably could see Shaq Lawson get some 1st round interest as well. And if he can get his head on straight, Battle has all the ability to get consideration.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think Shaq Lawson has the best chance, but

May 1, 2015, 11:48 AM

as others have stated... Mike Williams and Isaiah Battle (if he actually wants to) have a chance as well.

However, I'd love Shaq, Mack, and Kearse back in 2016 but

May 1, 2015, 11:51 AM

doubt we will get that trio back unfortunately.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Kearse will comeback

May 1, 2015, 1:01 PM

Shaq is probably gone along with Alexander

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Lawson or DJ Reader have a good chance. DJ has the

potential to have a monster year. NFL loves big athletic DTs in the 1st round.

Alexander

May 1, 2015, 12:13 PM

He will probably be no worse than the second best cb prospect in the draft.

Mike Williams or Alexander IMO will both be 1st rounders.

May 1, 2015, 1:04 PM

I just hope it's in the 2017 draft, not in next years. I thought with his size, Williams would be a first rounder when I first saw him play as a true freshman.

Alexander is an absolute shutdown defender with rediculous closing speed. With the talent we have, (including incoming 2016 players) I honestly believe we could have 8 1st rounders in the next 3 years!
Just at WR, I can think of 3 off the top of my head that have the ability to be 1st round talent in the next 3-4 cycles. If they're willing to put in the work is still unknown, but the talent is certainly there. Usually with Dabo, you don't have to worry about the young man being willing to put in the work. Who/How he recruits has a great deal to do with that IMHO.

Re: Who will continue our string of 1st round draft choices.....

May 1, 2015, 1:52 PM

Nobody has mentioned Peake. If he is 100% healthy and plays up to his potential, he could be the man. I am still hoping Williams & Lawson stay in school for 2016 for a second straight national championship. Then DeShaun wins the Heisman a second time abd goes #1 overall in 2017 draft. Anybody want to borrow my rose-colored glasses? GO TIGERS !!!!
