Who thinks ND will join the ACC in Football after...

Sep 10, 2017, 9:02 PM

Their TV contract with NBC expires? If so, who do you guys think will be the 16th program to join the ACC? WVU? UConn?

Would be nice to jettison, Syr, Wake, or BC. They really are bad.

they will never join a conference. their arrogance will not permit it

Arrogance may be a factor in timing but when it comes to

Sep 10, 2017, 9:14 PM

Joining or not, there will be one factor.

Don't need them. Wouldn't be worth having to add another crappy program.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Disagree. Let them get left out of CFP after going 11-1.***

Being conference champs sure helped Penn St.

Sep 10, 2017, 10:40 PM

CFP would not leave out an 11-1 ND, unless there were multiple undefeated teams. And that doesn't happen very often.

ESPN had an interesting story on them

Made a lot of good points

Thanks for posting so I could show love for the 1&2 picks and down vote the 10-6-5 picks.

Wake deserves some loyalty as a charter member. Plus it is an easy driving distance road trip. Cuse and BC could go and I wouldn't miss them.

Being selfish living 3 miles from Wake, they should stay. It's typically close to 50% Clemson fans and I can get cheap seats on the 50 yd line.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I like BC. Nice road trip. Syrexcuse can suck it.***

That is a solid no on booting Wake. They stood by us, and therefore will continue to get a pass. Besides, they went bowling last year, and are 2-0 this year. BC, ehh, not really a fit, but their fans have been cool, and they seem to try at least. Syracuse is not, nor ever will be a fit imo. But it is all irrelevant as I don't see Notre Dame joining. If they did ever join a conference they are clearly a more natural fit for the Big 10, so I still scratch my head at their deal with the ACC.

Wake is ACC tradition. Don't give them too hard of a time. Neither Cuse nor BC should have been brought into ACC. TCU and WVU should have had those spots.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It would be smart to join, but I don't think they will

Sep 10, 2017, 11:40 PM

They think they are too unique.

Yes, I think ND will in fact join the ACC as football members. I'm not sure on the timing - it would make sense when the TV contract expires - I don't think they have a choice anymore with the conference championship games, etc.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Until it makes financial sense - they will not join

Sep 11, 2017, 2:17 PM

They don't have a scheduling problem because everyone wants to play them for the money. If they go undefeated they make the final 4 and maybe even if they have 1 loss depending on whatever everyone else does.
