Ease dropping in TN
Nov 2, 2016, 7:19 PM

I went to lunch today here in TN. There were 6 fellows at the table next to me talking about the rankings from last night.
They said Clemson did not deserve to be 2nd but will be in the playoffs if they win out. I just had to laugh a little at that.

Did you lean over all doughy-eyed and naively ask where Tennessee was ranked?

I might have been able to pull that off today since I was not wearing Clemson gear. Lol

Did you happen to ask them how they possibly could have lost to the gamecocks ?

Did you ask them where their top three in-state recruits are going to school next year?

No...considering I was in Oak Ridge, that is a bit of a touchy subject.

You're not actually in TN

What has occurred is that their whole fan base is such that the area has been renamed: the State of Denial.
You just happen to be physically stuck there.
Continue to document for history's sake.....oh the humanity!!!!!

You should have asked them how they could show their faces in public after losing to a team as pitiful as USuCk.

In my experience, most of them are almost as ignorant and deluded as $CU fans.

I'm different than all these other posters.
You should have just told them to eat sh*t.

Just wearing real orange is enough for them like in Pigeon Forge when I go. They do not look my way.

I ease dropped in TN last month - a Friday night in

Knoxville while the Vols were on the road the next day. Great market square scene, and the farmer's market goods were for real. That's a healthy climate they got going on there.
I was pleased to discover that my well worn and faded Clemson T still sported a more pleasant shade of orange than what surrounded me.
Pretty sure everyone up there knows where they all stand right now. My SCar friends here in Columbia are finally hip to the fact that this weekend loss likely cost yet another Tennessee head coach his job. So they know their place too.
It's been a most beautiful fall. Enjoy.
Go Tigers!

Is that the TNet spelling for eavesdropping?

But still a fun story. Inconceivable how an 8-0 team that played for the Natty last season and took Alabama to the wire, and who has beaten three top twenty teams...two on the road...is considered a sham.
What they SHOULD be thinking is "Man, I hope we don't play Clemson when they put together a complete game."
