In contrast to "innocent before proven guilty" if you are a multi-term or long-term politician/appointee, I don't trust you from the outset.

The system drives most of those involved into bad situations.

This is why 1) we need term limits, 2) fed gov't needs to be as small as possible to limit the impact of corruption.

NC,

1. Term limits have been ruled unconstitutional. If you want to clean up politics may i suggest getting the money out of it (donations & lobbying)

2. Do you not think that state politicians can be corrupted, especially if you give them more power - (in the absence of national power) ?
