I think that Ben would have sucked it up and played against usuc even if his shoulder was hanging out and flopping around. I'm sure he hates the coots as much or more than any other Clemson fan that lives in SC....

I agree! I thought he came in and handled business. Even got a sack, no? Way to go Jalen! And get better soon Ben! Defense came to play today and we noticed! ????

Watched Williams CLOSELY!

I don't see why he isn't the starter. More consistent, never out of position, and covered well. Felt more comfortable with him in there. Love Bens fire but he over pursues too much.

Hold on there Tonto. Boulware is clearly and should be the starter!

I have a thought. Leave it up to one of the best defensive coordinators in the country as to who should be playing.

I'd be ok with Williams as the starter too. Love Boulware's aggression, but it also leads him to giving up big plays at times. In any case, it's great to have two guys who can start in that role and compete.

Agreed. I hope Venebales strategizes with more QB spy formations against UNC. It seems like we blitz one or both of the linebackers almost every down... I'm not sure if that's coming in from the sidelines late or they're making the read on the field pre-snap based on the film they've seen. Against Syracuse it killed us and a couple times against FSU... When you're dealing with a scrambler, you have to spy him to contain the flat. Based on Virginia Tech's performance yesterday, I don't think we will have a problem with UNC as long as we contain the middle of the field and watch the flag routes. We are without a doubt the better team.

I started Clemson in '78 - there has never been a time that we have been so deep that I'm not worried any time that a new person comes in! (and we're playing Freshmen!!!!!) great recruiting and great coaching. In '81 we won because our D could stop anyone (the O was just OK). It won't last forever (look at USC) so enjoy the lack of stress!

It will not last forever, but please spare the comparisons to sakalina. Thanks in advance.

I thought williams played well mostly. Some time spent with S&C won't hurt him, trim him up a bit and he will be a player I think.
