Where's everybody stayin in ATL?

I have a room in at the W in Buckhead but thinking about cancelling and finding something closer to 85 near a Marta station. Anyone have any suggestions? Figured its pointless to stay in Buckhead since we'll only be sleeping there.. Might as well get closer to home but still have access to Marta.

The W is directly across the street from the Buckhead Marta stop, so ease of access is good. Anything up 85 is going to start getting you into sketchy areas, without saving you a whole lot of time.

Marta around exit 5 up Hwy 400. Don't know how far out of the way this would put you but you could stay in Alpharetta or ####### and travel 10 miles to the marta station...Decent area.

Nice place...very easy to get to from I-85...close to Lindbergh Marta Station

Staying at the omni. Had a bad experience trying to get on the marta going back toward buckhead. Had to wait an hour on a train and when I got on had to stand on my tip toes to keep from being crushed.

you're going to get a reservation? You can get to the Dome easy on Marta from where you'll be staying - leave it alone IMO.

Buckhead is probably your closest place and still have MARTA

Its not worth staying in Doraville just to be 15 minutes closer.
But I've said it on here 100 times....don't take Marta to games.

Guy in Tiger Tickets has a block of rooms at 3 of the downtown (near Centennial Olympic Park) hotels. I got one at the Hampton Inn downtown. Only cost me $10 which is what he is charging in a "convenience" fee. This late in the game I'd say that's fair to get a room downtown.
