With Clark likely a no go do we stand pat or reach for guy

Jan 30, 2013, 1:18 PM

I'd prefer we stand pat and save the scholarship unless a 4 star WR that you've previously offered and liked decommits late and falls into our laps.

Agreed!!

Let's load up (for now) on high quality defensive prospects!!

We have Williams, Priester, and Green. IF we miss out on Clark, it wont be a death blow.

My understanding is that TJ Green prefers to play WR

Jan 30, 2013, 1:22 PM

so I wouldn't think we'd try to grab another WR last minute.

Stay pat. No need wasting a scholarship

Jan 30, 2013, 1:23 PM

We're in good position with WRs in 2014 and this time we won't have to worry about UF stealing them. They shouldn't have anymore spots left after this year. Crazy that Clark is thinking about going to a team that already has 5 WR recruits along with whatever is left of their corp after this year. This for a team that does not throw the ball and had a total number of TD passes combined less then Nuk alone

Was thinking the same about Fla. and them throwing the ball around. With Tajh coming back and Kelly in the wings with DeShaun coming in. Last but not least, our style of offensive play. If I was a good WR, Clemson is where I would want to be recieving at.

But catching 2 TDs a year in the sec and all the praise

Jan 30, 2013, 1:50 PM

that garners on espn for weeks after it happens is enough to give most 17 year olds pause. It's not like the corners in the league are impressive either. Clemson had their way with them.

The scholarship will go to a veteran walk-on and rightfully

Jan 30, 2013, 1:26 PM

so.

Where did you see that Clark was likely a no go for Clemson?

Jan 30, 2013, 1:41 PM

Last I saw, which was on TI a couple days ago it appeared most likely to be down to Clemson and OSU.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Just yesterday Clark said he will not narrow his list down

Jan 30, 2013, 1:46 PM

to a final 3 until either Sunday night or Monday. James is so conflicted right now that he doesn't know which school he is going to choose. If he doesn't know that how does any body else know?

Something makes me think ESPN's sudden praise of Green,

Jan 30, 2013, 1:46 PM

might have pushed him more towards OSU.

I think we're done on offense, Carter most likely gets an offer now.
