(and we WILL at some point), do you think it will be during a year that we are really good, or a year where we are average to poor and sneak up on them?

at that time. Even though we were an NCAA team those years, UNC was too. I believe they made a Final Four in the late '90s under Guthridge if I remember correctly.

I agree and I hope I'm alive to see it.
I think it'll be an average team that ends the streak. A good team will have a lot to lose and play tight where as an average team will go in loose and play harder. JMO

I think it's a multi-step process for that to happen.
1. Swofford must be removed from his position as commissioner of the ACC
2. Their current head coach must finally leave
3. They must hire Muschamp to be their new BBall HC
4. 2-3 years after that hire, then we could play them and possibly win if the refs allow it
Okay, we have a plan, so I just hope to live long enough to see it happen

Back in 2010...Demontez Stitt led us to a victory over UNC at home, smashing one of the last ‘average’ Heels teams.
But there was no trip to Chapel Hill that year.
I assume that the next time we have that scenario, we’ll have a team that can do it.
During Brownell’s tenure, we’ve had trouble beating them anywhere...I guess we did in 2018, but it’s pretty rare.
I do think you need to catch them in January...not during the stretch run.
I see that we have plenty of prep time this year...so I guess that is good.

I thought we had them the year UNC went 8-20 with Adam Boone at point guard and Matt Doherty as coach. 2 of their 8 wins were against us, including an 18 point beat down at Chapel Hill.
I’ve come to the conclusion that they could suit up the cheerleaders and beat us in Chapel Hill.

We missed a great chance to end the streak during those few years. As fun as it was to upset them in Littlejohn when they were #1, I would have certainly traded that win for a win in Chapel Hill.

We will beat them one day. Completely improbable to think it won’t ever happen. What kind of team we have I don’t know but if Evansville can take down U at home, we can take down the Heels at home.
