As David Hood said in his review the rushing game has been slack for the last two games. But we are passing lots more, thank you TL, and the OL is providing super pass protection. Has the run game really dropped off or do we just throw lots more?

My opinion is that the offense could keep hammering the the opposition and get back to rushing 150-200 yards per game but at what cost? I think the offense would be less dominant than they are now. Also note that the passing game is really turning in some big plays (scores) which really doesn't loosen up the defense to help establish the running game.

we will run - and do it for lots of yards.
As long as they load up against the run, we will pass, again for lots of yards.
And when someone decides they can defend both, we will likely shred them on the ground and through the air.

I'm not worried about our run game. You take what they give you. After the game, Dabo pointed out a lot of the pass plays were called as runs, and TL called an audible. They weren't even RPOs.

Both are top-10 in the country.
I think they are both one-dimensional defensively, as their passing defense ratings are pretty poor. We wisely chose to beat them at their weakness.
Louisville will get gashed on the ground Saturday - ranked 122 vs the run.

Could easily be a 400 rushing day and 300 passing. I want a shut out more than anything.

WEll, yeah, that's kind of what I'm getting at. When they stack the box we pass more. The fewer runs we try against those defenses are a result of that and only done to keep them honest. Think the opposition will learn TL is a force and they can't concentrate on stopping the run?

When we do run I wish we would try to let ETN run outside the tackles instead of banging inside against a wall. Yes he shredded Wake up the middle but everybody we gave it to did. Let him use his speed on the edge.
