When is Ring of Honor vote and who do you guys wanna see?

I think Spiller is eligible this year and will def get in since he is ten years out. Dantzler and Dawkins should be up there, too. Tim Bourret. Jack Phillips.

Jim Phillips cannot go in he doesn't have a college degree. Same reason that Tim is saying the most deserving person in Clemson history can't. Herman McGee - just ask any athlete in any Clemson sport who was here before Herman passed in 1978.

Several years ago someone suggested that one of the streets on campus be renamed for Herman McGee and I thought that was a great idea. From what I understand he was greatly loved by players and all who knew him and had a big impact on all around him.

....only every 5 or 10 years. We have a Hall of Fame. The ring of honor should ONLY be for players and coaches who were better than All American, better than Hall of Fame,
CJ belongs. Watson belongs. I'm not sure who else in the most recent 25 years earned a spot.
I loved Jim Phillips and Bourret was and is terrific, but neither belongs in the ROH.

They don't make room for many. Dawkins didn't really blossom until he went into the NFL. Seems a no brainer for CJ.

to the guys that are in there now. Neither was BD while he was at Clemson - what he did in the NFL is totally separate.
I agree that JP "The Last REAL Voice of the Tigers" should be in.

According to the qualifications for the Ring of Honor, only one person may be added to the ROH every two tears. Nominees are voted on be a committee of 11 people. Only one vote is taken and a nominee must receive 7 votes to be added to the ROH. The committee is not required to add someone every two years. This process is the same for each sport. I assume much discussion takes place among committee members before the vote is taken.
All IPTAY members are eligible to submit ROH nomination letters.
