The pronouns thing is just ridiculous. I refuse to even acknowledge that mess.

Its kind of like when I said "yes, sir"

Oct 28, 2020, 12:23 PM

to the guy at the coffee shop. I say it and he looks at me with the devil eye. Then I realized, he is probably gay. But I dont care if you are gay or not, so I saw him as a dude, and out of respect, said "sir". But these days, that is wrong and you should be shamed.

This supposedly helps you from offending and thus being shamed

I kept getting calls for Mill Creek SC.....

Oct 28, 2020, 12:30 PM

I called them back and screamed in the phone, "Stop effing calling me!". They stopped. I must get 10 calls a day for undesirables. They never leave a message. The govt Don't Call list doesn't do any good. Get off my lawn!??

So, I am lost again.

I don't understand.

Oct 28, 2020, 12:32 PM

Is it because they have a name that could be for either gender, like Pat? Or what's going on here?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nope

but think you are Daryl. Instead of you calling her "she/hers", that person would like "him/his".

And buy extra stickers cause it can change daily.

it was hard to even write that.

Dayum Pops, what rock you been livin under?

Oct 28, 2020, 12:32 PM

Your question confirms you are likely a CIS-gendered bigot.

Pro tip: Don’t ask these questions after January 20th. They will have gulags for people like you (and me).

I really never saw this before today, so I do apologize if anyone is offended by the question, that was not the intent.

You can tell that the person is an idjit

Oct 28, 2020, 12:35 PM

She/Her/Hers

Either she doesn't know how to use the possessive, or she thinks there are multiple beings inside that meat popsicle. Either way...dump. Wouldn't she/her be enough examples?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Y'know, I've had this conversation more than a few times

Oct 28, 2020, 12:42 PM

some 10-20 years ago, before the current gender trends, when I worked in large multinational companies that had a big presence in India. When you get an email from somebody in India, or look up a contact name...you honestly have no clue whether it's a male or a female in a good half of the instances. That designation would have been handy. I don't know that this discussion ever made it further than the watercooler, so no clue how many different PC and legal lines that would have stepped over 15 years ago, much less today.

As humans grow more and more ignorant every day.

Oct 28, 2020, 1:05 PM

We find more and more ways to try to isolate others from our small isolated groups. Eventually we end up alone. All of this in an effort to prove our mental superiority. Turns out none of us want to be on the dumb ####### idiot train. So a lot of us sign up for crap that makes absolutely no sense at all. Turns out, regardless of where we stand, we’re all a bunch of dumb ####### idiots. The most intelligent simply find a way to accept and admit that they know nothing. Everybody else, jumps on the train to nowhere.

The most humorous ones, are the ones that call everybody else a sheep while they baaaaah the loudest.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaah I’m a friggin idiot. Can’t deny this fact though... beer is good.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I kind of get it, I do, but I have a confuse on the option

Oct 28, 2020, 1:13 PM

of they/them.

If it's one person, it's singular. I guess because it's gender-neutral but makes my grammar bone hurt to hear it used singularly
