It looks kind of sharp though. I am assuming
this is so defensive players can find the defensive coaches easier, etc?
Makes sense if so.

I remember Charlie Pell with a blue shirt to make him stand out so the D would have an easier time spotting him and be able to react quicker to his signals. Since then it has become fairly common practice among DCs. The neon hat carried it a bit further. Look for them to be in Tiger Sports Shop next Saturday afternoon.

If coach Venables wants to leave, it's because he wants a new challenge, not because he's not happy here or he's not well paid. Many times, coordinators want to be head coach because of money too.
This is one good thing about Dabo. He understands it's not all about himself. The team must move forward as a whole. He pays his staff well. He lets guys have opportunity just like the way he did. What Tony Elliott and Jeff Scott get, Dabo can easily hire a top-name coordinator. So, they both sorta get paid very well considering they just got their first try as offensive coordinator.
I'm sure Dabo has his backup plan in mind, just in case.
