What's the one DROP by a Clemson WR

That still makes you shake your head?
Even though it was pass interference and nobody can tell me otherwise.....
Aaron Kelly vs BC 2007 still irks me.

In overtime to beat Scam Newton. WIDE OPEN!! I will never forget that one which led to the field goal debacle which cost us the game.

they go on to win* the MNC that year. No excuse for missing that throw, but that wasn't too long after dirty @55 punk ##### Nick Fairly(sp? Fairely?) put his helmet directly in Kyle Parkers back/spine....with no flag for spearing to boot! Although, no flag on Awbum seemed to be the theme in that game. IMO, Detroit has had the 2 (or at least 2 of the top 10, be you a Detroit fan or not) dirtiest players in the League with Fairly and Suh.
All that now reminded me of our bowl game vs. Nebraska in Suh's senior year. I think it may've even been the same year as the Auburn game we're talking about in this post, so I guess it was Kyle Parker getting hit late almost the entire game by Suh (may've been the game he put his Colorado Rockies hat on).
So, short story long, Parker got cheap shots from both in one season....and Detroit has/had the dirtiest tandem of DT's in the NFL. Lastly, I can't wait to play Awbum in 16' and '17, so we, can destroy them in front of everyone nationwide!

Miami rushed 9 players on that play, i.e., they brought the house. Stuckey slipped down on the play, otherwise he might have caught it.

There was a great overhead photo showing the Canes bringing the house on that play. I couldn't fault Charlie there.
Unfortunately, we also had a back that slipped out into the right flat -- wide open -- who could have walked in for a score.
Great game!

and the pass had zero air under it. absolute choke by whitehurst only outdone by his interception in the 3rd OT.
i guess that was chansi's fault too?

DSP- shack is correct. This play was part of my film study at CU. The wr (not sure who it was; if it was Chansi then so be it) quit on the route at the top coming out of his break. The staff assumed it was due to the db falling down. The throw went to the area of the field exactly where the qb was instructed to throw the ball and inside of a 3 foot circle they practice throwing that route to. It was an incredible throw under extreme duress- and was used to show the qbs how and where to make the throw.

[ in reply to Re: yes, you bored me, i had to entertain myself and you didn't ] |

the same spot, the amount of air under it was and remains where i'll disagree and where i was taught differently.
charlie was set and let the ball go when chansi cut on the 5. no one, but chansi was going to make any play on the ball as chansi had his man beat from "go" and was 3 yards away from the inside guy coming underneath from defensive left-offensive right. being a bad throw does not necessarily mean he missed his spot; late throws and early throws hit their spot but oft times go the opposite way[int] or fall harmlessly to the ground.
i have no doubt they want the next qb to hit the same spot. put some air under the same pass, it hits the very same spot and clemson wins.
great teaching moment and charlie showed the frustration of a wide open miss when he ripped his chin strap off coming to the sideline.

He couldn't see Chansi due to pressure. He threw to a spot. Thats the right Thing To do....he trusted his training. He was upset because the wr didn't do the same. If Charlie had another split second, the he obviously puts it on the wr body. That said, he didn't have that luxury.

I know Aaron Kelly is the sexy pick and I cringe when thinking about that one. Sammy's always stands out when Tajh hit in right in stride towards the end zone.
I'm not saying it would have been a different game had he caught that, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt. You could feel the energy seep out of the team after that.
