Coot fan told me this morning that he was glad coots weren’t going to a bowl game. He said “Champ is out recruiting and bowl games are meaningless.” He said last year the team was tired and just didn’t want to be there against a meaningless opponent. I said well a coach that can’t get his team motivated isn’t much of a coach and a team that isn’t motivated isn’t much of a team.

I think there are some bowls where even a good coach can't get the entire team motivated. That said, the coots would love to be in a good bowl. That may never happen though. All of their bowls will be meaningless.

Unfortunately for them, I don't even think Muschamp can legally recruit anyone right now until after bowl season is over! So, he can't be coaching the players he currently has, or recruit any new ones. I'm sure he's having a nice Christmas though. Bowl practices really can be valuable to players that might make an impact next year.

If that's the case, then why did they go to such lengths to avoid playing Marshall and instead schedule Akron so the 5,500 fans who actually showed-up could watch them become bowl eligible.
I guess they didn't want to be in Chapel Hill earlier this year or at home against App State either (rolling eyes).
