What if we created an NIT type football championship

using the New Big East, the new ACC after Miami, FSU, VT, and NCSU leave, the MAC, and the SoCon.

ACC vs. SoCon
BE vs. MAC

Winner #1 vs. Winner #2

Crown our own national champion. Thoughts?

That might be what happens though CUSA would be better than the SoCon.

The Big Four Conferences are just going to tie their two bowl games together. They won't call it the National Championship, but that is what it will be.

They can call it the Power conference champions, but the ACC is done.

You go 13-0, and you are still not going to get a shot at the big boys. There is no BCS anymore. It is those four conferences and everyone else.

It would be like the NIT Baketball championship;The Not Invited Championship.
Do you really care about the NIT Basketball tournament?
How would you feel if Clemson ended up losing the Championship game in the football playoff lile they did several years ago in the basketball tournament?
