Other than maybe ALABAMA, Clemson gives any player...

as good a shot at BCS title game than any other sec team, and a better chance at BCS bowls and Conference titles.
If a recruit simple wants a NT, go to BAMA, pray Saban sticks around for you to get your shot on the field aming all the depth they have.
LSU, SC, UGA, FL, TA&M, and Clemson odds are about the same for NT.
Auburn and Ole Miss, not even close.
If you want NFL, there again BAMA is a good choice. All these other teams are pretty even. The ACC as a conference has more players in the NFL over the past 10 years than any conference.
If you want BCS Bowls...
There are 6 teams in battling for two bcs spots in the sec. There are 2 teams in contention for one or two slots from the ACC.
Do the math. Your odds are greater with Clemson.
What if you want Conference titles?
Alabama, they even win more NTs than they do SEC titles. but right now who's going to take Bama in Atlanta? Not FLa (no offense) Not GA (Mark Richt is too nice to get that far, last year was close as they will get as long as Bama is on top.) SC, maybe but do you really think so? SC has an easy sec schedule this year but they will lose to BAMA cause the last time these two played SC embarrassed them in Columbia.
Clemson will be a 10 win team nealry every year from this point forward. That means we will be eligible for BCS bowls. Clemson will go to Orange bowl nearly every other year if not more often than that. We will win most of them.
So here it is...Alabama or Clemson is your smartest choice in the Southeast.
Remember, I told you so!
Go Tigers!

but I look at Auburn's approach to winning that title

through a totally different means...obviously they cheated to get Cam Newton....they didn't build a program...they built a team for a one year run and as a result they didn't sustain the success outside of one year. Florida and LSU has sustained success.

you can say UF won through totally different means as well, after all they had Urban Myer who may be the best coach in the country, and if the Sugar bowl is any meassurement of UF this year they still have a little bit to go to compete for a national title

ehh?...?......I'd say UF, Bama, LSU, Auburn......

and now I believe TAMU all have better odds than clemson
UF, Bama, LSU, and Auburn b/c they've done it recently
TAMU with their facilities, recruiting, and the recent SEC shot in the arm.........they're set up nicely to sustain some bigtime success
UGA,Clemson,UT,SCar are similar

I would heavily disagree on SC having a good shot...

Just can't see that happening with what they lost on defense & losing Ace. On top of that competing with Bama from the West.
Yes, I am biased.

biased, but right. usuc would not only have to slip past

florida, but also uga, whom they play (i think) in athens. and like uga, WE have some payback-long overdue- to usuc in a BIG way. no we wouldn't hurt their conf hopes, but to lose a game at the end of the regular season,to a team from the lowly acc, would all but finish usuc's shot at the natty. IF, they managed that, they would have to upset the west champ- most likely 'bama.then turn around and upset the team they would play in that game. that would be three upsets in a row- which is next to impossible.

SC could actually lose to UGA and still win...

sec east like UGA did the past two years. SC is the east team with the easy schedule like UGA had the past tow years. FL plays TAM and LSU, GA plays LSU, SC playes none of AL, LSU, TAM, I predict GA to lose to LSU,FL, and Clemson but beat SC, 9-3 Chick fila or Outback. I predict SC to lose to GA, and Clemson, finish 10-2 and then lose to BAma in SEC title game. Finsih 10-3 go to CAP one or Cotton.
SC will lose some good players on defence and losing Ace wil slow down the offense,but....their schedul is pie in the sky after GA, CL and FL. They may beat FL in Columbia but lose to us and ga.
Oh well my predictions.
