What happened to our D

I have not thought of our defense as being dependent on the performance of 1 or 2 players. Tonight, it seemed as if the entire defense was confused, befuddled from the start, couldn't stop the run or the pass. Acknowledging Pitt's great game plan against us misses the ?. The interference calls show how desperate our corner backs were and no pass rush all night, I was astounded! What was wrong with our D line? We were not prepared whatsoever for the Pitt offensive scheme and it just don't figure.

To be honest, it seems we have slipped into the same coasting mode we did late last year but got away with it until the final. Maybe our guys have started counting their money before it arrives, always a bad proposition.

One thing Dabo & Brent have been doing over the past couple of weeks is congratulating players as the best ever before the end of season. Maybe that kind of hyperbole builds over confidence like we can't be beat.
