What does Jesse Palmer call Florida losses to

Sep 22, 2013, 5:14 PM

Ole Miss in 2008 during a 10-1 Florida season. Florida was a 22-point favorite in that game.

Miss. State in 2010 during a during a 9-3 season. Florida was na 8-point favorite at home. Also a 36-14 loss to #24 South Carolina at home when Florida was favored by 6.

Florida's entire 2011 season in which they went 7-6. I'm sure there was someone they shouldn't have lost to.

Florida's loss to Georgia in 2012 when Florida was ranked #3 and Georgia was #12. Or Florida's completely pulling a Florida in the Sugar Bowl vs Louisville?

With Clemson, it's pulling a Clemson. With any SEC team it is just that the SEC team just didn't really want to be there and wasn't that into the game.

In 2007, #4 Florida lost to an unranked Auburn team in the swamp 17-20. Florida was a 17 point favorite.

If Jesse Palmer doesn't think that every team experiences losses like that then he is really ignorant. If Clemson was the only team that ever experienced a loss of that nature, then there would be 15 undefeated teams at the end of every season.

Example:
#6 South Carolina losing to Kentucky in 2010
#10 South CArolina losing to unranked Auburn in 2011. The coots were 10 point favorites at home.
#21 South Carolina losing to Tennessee 31-13 in 2009 and then to Arkansas 33-16.

I can take Phil Steele's book and go through every team and pick half a dozen games in which they were ranked, favored and lost during the last 5 years. Otherwise, we would have 15 unbeaten teams every season.

Maybe Clemson is so talked about because we are the one team that will consistently beat the big favorites when we play them?

He is too stupid to notice them. He doesnt even have our record and losses straight. He is a dolt

He would call all those Florida losses: Clemsoning...because

Sep 22, 2013, 5:18 PM

that's what he does when is Palmering....just saying.

I'm in now way defending Palmer when I say this...

Sep 22, 2013, 5:27 PM

The difference in Clemson and Florida in this situation.. Florida has won it all recently.. On top of winning some BCS bowl games... We will only get over the "Clemsoning" hump until we win something of note... Namely a BCS bowl or MNC...

Durng the telecast the other night he said, Clemson has only

played for the national championship once in their 110-year history. Does he understand how many teams have never and will never play for, let alone, win a national championship?I think there are less than 20 teams that have ever won one.

Florida has, but it was 1990 before the Gators had ever even won an SEC Championship.

Okay fine, but why is there no campaign for him on USC, like Palmer insists on Pulling a ####

(from above)

Example:
#6 South Carolina losing to Kentucky in 2010
#10 South CArolina losing to unranked Auburn in 2011. The coots were 10 point favorites at home.
#21 South Carolina losing to Tennessee 31-13 in 2009 and then to Arkansas 33-16.

my favorite is 9-0 USuCk losing to Navy in 1984. That was awesome.***

And also add in the year the coots were 6-0 and ranked #6

and lost to Vanderbilt at home and then promptly lost all the rest of their games. 6-0 and #6 to 6-6. that was in the mid 2000's. That is really pulling a ####.

I thought u were going to say he is a ######

Sep 22, 2013, 5:47 PM [ in reply to I'm in now way defending Palmer when I say this... ]

We r talking about recent losses and it is bigger when u win a nc and then have losses like this in my book .. Clemson is trying to get there and Florida having these losses after making it to the top .. To me this is bigger

Could it be he and his sec buddies fear Clemson?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

This actually makes sense

Sep 22, 2013, 5:49 PM

You have to attack or run. I'm honestly surprised he didn't run.

The 1984 Shamecocks who, ranked #2 and coming off of wins over Georgia, Pitt, NotreDame, and Florida State, laid an egg and lost to Navy. At that time they still had never won a bowl game in the entire history of the program. That didn't happen until 1995.

Didn't Palmer play for Spurrier?

Sep 22, 2013, 6:22 PM

Does that explain anything? Spurrierized.
