I have an FNS-9 but don't carry. Have the license, but too much in my pants already. Not enough room for the pistol, maybe I'll get a PPS.

But really enjoy the FN.

Smith & Wesson Shield 40 cal!!! Just never cared for a show piece, or how much I could pay for one. Just one that works when I need it to work, and for the price, the S&W shield is the best bang for the buck I've ever fired. But if I was wanting to spend a lot for a weapon, no doubt it would be an American made Colt 1911!!

Never misfires. I keep it under the bed, .357 mag loaded. I carry an m&p 9mm compact.

I had the S&W Model 29 357 before I was introduced to the S&W shield 40 cal. I've fired over a 1000 rounds through it, and it's never had a Jam, and that's saying a lot for a semi auto when most I've fired were target rounds. For serious protection, I use Buffalo Bore Plus P ammo!!!

Springfield XD-E 9mm. Extended mag you can carry 9+1 rounds and it fits my hand perfectly. 3.3 on barrel single stack. Easy to conceal and plenty of knock down power in the newer 9mm +P rounds.

Springfield Armory XD-S in 9mm for concealed carry. I have had an XD-M for years and never had a misfire. This one is new (got it for Christmas), and feels very comfortable.

I have had a couple of custom shop Kimbers. IMHO, they are overpriced junk. Not super accurate. Not reliable. We used to have a running joke at the matches, "would any of the Kimbers here today shoot a clean course of fire?". Usually no. FTF and FTE were common in Kimbers.

Pretty much anything I want. I have a safe full. From an original 1911 to H&K USP .40 v9, XD .45, Lugers and P38s. What I carry with me mostly is a Glock 23. Indestructible and made to kill. It's in the hotel room with me now.

I love to shoot and own several pistols, revolvers and rifles. I still don’t really understand why people feel the need to carry.

That said, my favorite small frame that would be appropriate for carry would be my S&W 9mm or my Ruger LCR .38.

Apr 17, 2020, 8:42 AM

I'm definitely a Glock guy. I have a G17 and a G19.

The G43 was much thinner, shorter, and lighter. The smaller magazine (only six rounds) is really the only downside.

Great concealed carry option when a larger gun would be impracticle.

S&W M&P Shield chambered in 9mm. Also, Walther PPS with night sights, 9mm. Loaded the mags with Hornady Critical Defense Teflon HP's. You just can't beat the Walther triggers. My dad was a Clemson Mech Engineer....he swore by everything made by Carl Walther & Co.

I carry a.38 special hammerless by Charter Arms. Revolvers never jam and a .38 special packs as much punch at 9mm. The hammerless is easy in and out of a pocket.
