Checking out the BIG 10 schedule for this weekend and it looks like a complete disaster waiting to happen. Two likely losses to FCS schools, two of their Top 25 teams possibly losing to unrankeds (one of those another loss to the MAC), and the Utes beating Michigan at home. 4-9, if you want to be optimistic.
Those gazillions they say they're raking in from the BTN are really showing up on the field, huh?
First, there's not really anyone with any relevancy in the B1G. In other words, I went down the list of teams in the B1G and no one really jumped out at me as interesting, thus making me curious about who they were playing.
Secondly, across the board, when you do look at who is competing against the B1G this weekend, there's not really any stiff competition. The toughest competition is going to come from Miami, Syracuse, Utah, and Cincinatti. I guess the argument could be made that those teams should be better than they are, but I've just noticed that the B1G has a habit of scheduling uninteresting opponents.
