Are you familiar with Rab apparel or Mont Bell?

Thanks!

I have had a Mont Bell thang or two in my time, but never heard of Rab. That said...I fully embrace your go-to.

depends out what you are looking to do. Sometimes quality matters sometimes, no matter the cost, sometimes you are just as well off with less expensive items.

We've had this question before & recently. Mountain Hardwear

May 7, 2019, 10:32 AM

is my answer. Love their stuff.

I have a smattering of the other brands - but Mountain Hardwear is what most of my tech-ish gear tends to be.

Did Jew Know

May 7, 2019, 11:22 AM

Mountain Hardware is owned by Columbia (or both owned by another company) and some Columbia Outlets sell Mountain Hardware stuffs?

I would Google to see if I am correct but do not feel like it.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It is indeed a subsidiary of Columbia.***

Correct.... Tis why M hardware is not quite what they were moons ago.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, I'm old so everything I have is from "moons ago".

May 7, 2019, 1:48 PM

But I can remember when Columbia was no big deal and there was no preppy market for their fishing shirts. I can also remember even before that when Columbia WAS a big deal and you couldn't just buy their stuff at Belk.
