But remember this one doesn't mean cr@p. Only one that counts is the one in December Our loss was worse than Irish or OSU's. Even with a backup or a hurt KB if the defense shows up we win. Committee will understand that KB was hurt but will also understand that the defense did not show up. I firmly believe if we win out we will be in.

I now think we have a better chance at #4 than I originally thought - probably from listening to the inmates her on TigerNet.
But it doesnt matter. Where I live the locals care about ND. So its not like I can live vicariously through the team and brag to anyone tomorrow face to face that Clemson is top 4. Of course I could do this, but no one would give a carp or any other fish.

They've at least beaten Texas A&M and FSU when they had their QB for a few quarters.
Wisconsin's schedule is much worse than Bama's.

Bama has also blown people out and Wisconsin is playing some game arp8nd the 10-20 point range. Bama played a&M close but that is about it.

"blowing people out" doesn't mean much to the committee...they don't give incentive for margin of victory per their rules at least. The undefeated will weigh in, the beating FSU while their QB was still in will weigh in, their #4 SOR will weigh in, but that's about it. Their SOS is the second lowest of all of the 5 teams at #51 per ESPN...no top 25 wins (looking at current poll that is) until they play LSU this weekend (and that depnds on if they look at where teams are currently ranked or where teams were ranked when played). They'll be in, but there is a chance they aren't #1.

I was breed a Sooner fan (Tiger by the grace of God) and I can tell you OU will be no where near Ohio State. The OU victory over them is

Just because the media loves OSU does not mean the committee does. They are basically even is quality of wins and OU won at OSU. OSU does have better game control but I think the put a lot on the head to head.

If the committee is true to their word then the top 4 based on competition should be in no particular order......... UGA, Clemson, OU, Ohio State. I base this on quality wins.

I think ND should be in there over OSU. OSU has good metrics but against bad teams. ND has beaten USC and NC ST. OSU has beat Penn St and that is it. If they put OSU ahead of OU I will lose all respect for them. OU has the same record and beat them at OSU. I will not understand how they could justify putting OSU ahead.

Could not agree more. Plus OUs win was on the road. But for some reason every year Ohio State gets a pass because their loss was early and the team has fixed their issues. Blah blah. I hate Ohio State.

It is okay if they get a pass imo. I think we get a pass for our QB being hurt. It is just the fact that the team they lost to is also in this mix of 1 L teams and they lost at home to that team. I do not think they should put them ahead of ND either because ND has played a better schedule. OSU does have great metrics in game control and efficiency though idk how much they look at that. I just believe head to head and quality of opponents should be main factors along with your win lose record. It is just fun to discuss though and these rankings are not all that important see TCU a few years ago. After conference championship week is when you can really compare schedules and teams but if OU is ahead or behind OSU right now it will be hard to either team to catch up imo. OU has a better chance tho playing Okie ST TCU and the conference championship where OSU will play only Michigan who has dropped off and most likely Wisconsin. If OU is ahead of OSU now though they control their own destiny I think.

OSU has one victory over a top 25 team, we have 2. We have 6 wins over teams with winning records, they have 1. We will be ranked higher than OSU.
