Go to a game at their Bball facility... The Yum Center is world class I went to a game there a couple years ago. My wife is a Card fan so we went while visiting her folks during Thanksgiving.

Mormons adhere to some pretty strict health practices that prohibit the consumption of tobacco, alcohol, coffee, and tea while encouraging the use of wholesome herbs, grains, fruits, and a moderate consumption of meat. That said, their concessions do offer soft drinks, burgers and dogs.

Went to the Big House last weekend...

Nov 13, 2013, 4:19 PM

It was pretty cool I guess. The sheer number of people they put in there (112k last Saturday) is the most impressive thing, but outside of that, a game there isn't all that special. Tailgating isn't special and it isn't a real loud place.

Nov 13, 2013, 4:37 PM

where fans park on the BC baseball field which is located on the opposite side of the stadium beside a parking garage and can be seen in the top right hand portion of the picture.

There is also a time clock mounted to that parking garage for all of the BC tailgaters on the baseball field to see.

When the football games end, tailgaters have exactly 60 minutes to vacate the permises; otherwise they are ticketed and fined by local law enforcement. Seriously

Nov 13, 2013, 4:14 PM [ in reply to Re: I always wanted to see LaVall Edwards Stadium- yep ]

Not recognizing the name, I googled it. Looked at the pic, read the Wikipedia page and couldn't figure out for the life of me why you'd want to go there. Googled again, to see if there was some interesting story or something - nope. After seeing the Mormon post, only then did I figure out I was looking at the wrong stadium...

I went to several games when I lived in Phx and it's not much of a stadium, IMO. That being said, the "scenery" around Tempe is almost always pretty #### nice, especially along Mill Ave.

We got out butts beat. Fans were very into, although you don't really get the full effect when you're on the complete other side of the stadium from their students up in the rafters of the visitors section.

I have actually been to Aloha Stadium

Nov 13, 2013, 3:39 PM

coming from a tour of Pearl Harbor. The drive to the stadium is much better than the actual stadium itself.

It has a cheap erector set look to it but that's because the seats can be moved into various configurations for different sporting events, concerts or other purposes.

The day I was there they had it configured in a diamond shape for soccer matches.

The only thing impressive about it is how they manage to squeeze 110,000 a$$es into 85,000 seats.

Similar to Doak Campbell at FSU, they have attempted to improve it over the years by adding alot of brick work to the exterior but it's akin to putting lipstick on a pig.
