We play them every year and there's a trophy. Same with USC. And, GT is a rivalry game too, despite our recent dominance of them.
Good on NC State to consider it a rivalry. If I were them, I'd avoid talking about playing Clemson as much as possible.

and it was in 1966. How is that a rivalry? You'd have better luck claiming one with Lewisville or Syracuse over NC State or USC or GT.

They're ignorant, mouthy, deluded and have a complete lack of self-awareness.
While the WussPack is a conference/division opponent, NCSU is definitely NOT Clemson's rival.
NCSU should be more concerned about Wake Forest and East Carolina.

It was a pretty good rivalry in the 80's but never on the level of Clemson-SCAR or Clemson-Georgia.
