a few years back. There was a kid on one team who’s name was spelled T’K so he announced his name as Tee Kay. Kid’s mom promptly heads to the press box and says “The postrophe don’t be silent! His name pronounced Tuh postrophe kay.”

and she had a student named One-twenty. No lie.

The brothers and sisters were all normal names: Joe, Sarah, whatever. When my wife asked the mother where the idea for the name came from the mother said that she and her husband just knew that this child was going to "turn their life around", as in 120 degrees.
