Powell will RS. Interesting. AND Nancy State has gotten touchbacks on only 9 of 30 kickoffs all season. I think he takes one to the house.

It wouldn’t matter if Deon Sanders in his prime was back there returning kicks, he still wouldn’t get to the 20 yard line. Our blocking is beyond terrible on kickoff returns. It has been for years, since CJ left.

I don't have any figures to back it up but from what I've seen this year (our Tigers and other teams) most of the KO returns have not reached the 25 yard line. Based on this, any KO that does not go into the end zone should be signaled as a fair catch. I believe every KO returner thinks this is the one he is going to carry to the house. The odds are not in his favor.
