Well, we shut down Mr. Heisman Trophy Winner

The ESPN golden calf needed holes in the O-line big enough to drive a Gray Hound through in order to get lots of yards.
Proud of our young defense for stuffing him, and showing the world that we're relevant!!

I sincerely mean it when I say that I am not trash talking so please don't take this as such.
Henry got 158 yards for a 4.4 ypc average and three TD's. That isn't exactly what anybody would consider shutting down a RB...

Would you agree that he got very few yards in the 2nd half

Where that's typically where Henry has gotten more of his yards?

Hmmm

He would be barely over 100 yards (3 ypc) if he didn't get that one 55 yard run from blown coverage, just saying. My point being, there were two Heisman Candidates on the field last night, and Derrick Henry wasn't the best.

Take away 50 "smartacus" and that's 35 carries for basically 100. So, yeah, that's shutting him down. DW threw for 400 - enough said

I'm glad our players and Dabo aren't playing the "woulda, coulda" game. There were so many things that went wrong, It's a testament to the Tigers and the talent of our team that we were nearly able to overcome them.
Go Tigers

Eerily similar - the early big run and then shut down

The TD's from the 1 make him look better than he was, but our D was more than up to the task.

We didn't shut him down by any means, but didn't let him completely destroy our shot at winning either, imo. He looked pretty quick on the outside and no one is stopping him in short yardage.

I think his NFL career will be somewhat short unless he can find out how to get to top speed quicker. If anyone makes contact with him before his 4th step then he generally goes down...

If you mean Spurrier, I agree.
OTOH, Henry, like Dalvin Cook, blew us up on a single play that made his stat line look great. Our secondary has trouble tackling elite RB's if they get loose. Henry's most impressive trait is still his durability though.
