Was shocked to hear Rumph say this:

But Clowney wanted to hear Rumph explain why he left Clemson. “They can’t win there,” Clowney recalled Rumph telling him.
“We’re going to win here. I couldn’t promise you that at Clemson, but I can promise you that here.”
- Was pretty surprised to see him throw a team he had coached for years under the bus like that. I know he has an obligation to recruit actively for Bama once he joins their staff, but this really makes me question his character.

can! I used to refer to him as, " My favorite coot ", but no longer. The biggest reason we lost to the Coots in 09 was because of our Dline.

Yep. Screw him. I know dirty recruiting goes on all the time but to pull that classless crap against the staff you just worked for and to a guy who gave you a job? Classless, I say. But he's a Chicken. What should we expect. Bet he's THRILLED to have Pagan, who is going to be a huge flop.

he never needs a job at Clemson again. Talk about can't win there, Clemson just won the division title in 2009, has won 9 games about 4 times in the last 10 years. He needs to use that line when recruiting against his alma mater.

I think this article is pure crap. And I suspect many of the quotes were of conversations meant to be confidential, if they are accurate.

I don't think it's full of crap, but it did seem weird.

I mean mom was all for CLEMSON and early on in his recruiting mom was his reason for having SC as #1. Then mom seems to like Dabo and CLEMSON when Dabo turned up the heat and got him in for a visit. She thinks Columbia may have too much trouble that would entice her son and CLEMSON being smaller, still close, but further from home, would be a better fit. I have my doubts he was close to choosing CU. I think he enjoyed it and it confused him, but in the end, the South Pointe kid is going to go to SC. I smell something, but maybe that's just me.

Rock hill than Cola. That's the opposite of what you heard leading up.
Just goes to show you that nobody had a real good idea of what people are really thinking and basing decisions on.

Very nice things to hear. She didn't have to make all of

those thoughts public. I have no hard feelings to Clowney or his family. They decided way late in the game to give Clemson a look and I think they gave Clemson a long and sincere look. It was just very hard for them to go against years of relationship building and the friends he has on Carolina's team.
I like the way he handled things much better than a Pagan or, worst of all, Lane. I thnk Lane's own family got very upset with him with the way he handled things.

so now he has a learning disability, qualified academically Straight A student Might have to go to a prep school Works hard in the class room His coach stated he would bet a million $ that JC will be qualified academically Some where in all these statements is the truth. I know for a fact the NCAA has been sent a certified letter of request with recruit dates, pictures & viedo. In regards to the number of paid visits a school can give a recruit, and who may have contact with a recruit, how many times, when does the official date of record begin when recruiting a player, when is the recruiting generated and by whom. We all know how laid back the NCAA has been in regards to recruiting. They now have been asked to clarify their rules and guide lines. I'm not saying anyone has bent any rules, just like to know what rules are expected to adhere too. Yes I'm very happy JC signed with the coots. Now its a legal paper trail.
