the diversion in our political system is term limits on the house and senate. Long serving senators and house representatives have too much power and influence. I doubt they vote the conscious of their constituents but rather vote to repay favors from prior political deals. No reason they should be able to serve longer than the president, 8 years should be enough. We need new blood serving on both sides of the isle.

this is a micro issue as much as it is macro

need to focus on city leaders as much or more than state or federal. Bigger direct impact on your day-to-day life and safety.

These folks yelling for change, will be interesting if they are actually going to do something to change their local leadership or keep the same mayors, sheriffs, police chiefs, city councils. This protest accomplishes little to nothing otherwise. There is 40-50 years of data to back that up.

Personally, I don't know why anybody would want to live in a big city anymore. Violence and disease. The further away from people, the better.
