We saw it and said something at the same time:

My college coach son and I.

DJ - you look like you're running through a tulip patch out there. Definitely not AE, that is for sure.

He runs with his body very vertical. Goes backwards when hit***

Eric Dickerson ran upright successfully.***

He could be successful but he does not get that forward lean

Nov 4, 2012, 5:18 PM

like AE when he is going down. Seems to lack any power at this point.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same player. While he

does run very upright, he rarely went down on first contact, but rather kept going forward. Like I said last night, he reminds me of Travis Zachary in that regard, who was also very successful running that way.

Zak Brooks looks like a yound AE.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Brooks was very impressive.

Nov 4, 2012, 6:31 PM

He's also bigger than AE.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I thought he played pretty well myself.***

Chansi Stuckey was the same way

Nov 4, 2012, 4:23 PM

And he turned out pretty good. He could've been so much better if it didn't take more than a fingertip to bring him down.

Running upright...

Nov 4, 2012, 4:38 PM

Places the body in a vulnerable position. Center of gravity is too high and less force is required to imbalance the runner. Ball is more exposed as well. The young lads will learn to lower their center of gravity. More effective cut moves will result.

McFadden runs the same way and he stinks

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lattimore runs with a very low center of gravity ....

Nov 4, 2012, 6:29 PM [ in reply to Running upright... ]

... and that has obviously put him in a very vulnerable position.

Football is a violent game. You are going to run the risk of getting hurt regardless of how you run.

Odd, but my wife (who knows very little about fb) noticed the same thing and asked me why he does that.

He seemed to do very well though.

Brooks looked better than earlier in the year..

Nov 4, 2012, 6:30 PM

Really hit the line quickly with a lot of speed by the time he hit the line..
