Interesting. It seems DHEC at least has a good idea about

unknown cases. They have an estimate based on something at least.

They now have known cases, estimated cases, and highest potential cases listed per zip code. Statewide the estimated cases are 7 times the diagnosed number. Just wonder from what data they got that figure.

I'd say they pulled it out their collective arses

Estimated cases are calculated based on evidence that for every known case of COVID-19, there could be up to 9 people with the virus who remain unidentified in the community. Yeah.

Zero in my zip code, 6 "possible".
Zero in the zip my office is located, 7 "possible".

More confirmed ant bites (me) than Covid in my affected domain. Poot.

I have discovered one fact through this: Van Camp's Beanee Weenees have not changed their recipe in 40 years. Still yummy.

DHEC doesn't know their ace from a hole in the ground

But I don't disagree with this scare tactic of inflating the numbers

The road goes on forever and the party never ends...

DHEC stopped inspecting our projects.

Now any team member can take over duties for DHEC.

I wonder if I should volunteer and become a DHEC Inspector.

I don't know what I'll do with all that POWER!

Write citations like all the other askholes in DHEC.

I've had three in my life. The first was $250 for not having an MSDS sheet on sheetrock mud. I showed the idiot the sheet on gypsum, latex and water which is all that sheetrock mud is.

The second was a missing ground prong on another company's drop cord.

The last one was asbestos dust in an abatement containment. .3 Bars of negative pressure, everyone in tyvek suits, papr respirators and loads of dry asbestos on exposed steel and the idiot scraped a bit of dust off a microtrap and fined me $25K for it.

I got it reduced to $1200 but it was embarrassing to the company.

Dumbest sumbiches on the planet.

And this is why #### is made in China/Mexico/India

and anywhere but here.

Saw that yesterday. Bunch of hype ######## if you ask

the certified analist here. Nothing is ever just a simple take ever case and you can bet there's 6 unknown cases to it. If there are estimated cases, that means there are not cases. Love how we keep hearing that we're going forward and reacting based on data and facts yet we're now putting estimates out?

We only really laboratory test maybe 100-150K

flu cases a year. That's it. From those few hundred thousand 100% confirmed flu cases, we estimate 10, 20, 40 million flu cases total, and then estimate the .1% fatality rate we see. Our normal practice of documenting the flu is all based on estimates. We look at documented cases tested in laboratories in hospitals, then look at influenza-like illness reports from doctors offices who have to report them, then we guesstimate the total number of cases and the mortality rate. This will be done the same way also.

BUT, we know the flu very well. This, notsomuch. Whenever this is said and done, the data we get as "official" covid cases, mortality rate, etc. will all be estimates.
