This will be fought locally. Some places don't need a shut down. Other places do. Everyone needs masks. But June and July are going to be bad in some places. Most concerning are pictures like this:



Good news we've flattened the curve. Bad news is it's not declining but holding steady. Given our efforts we may be starting to find shutting down will never reverse this but only stabilize it at some level. Research will also show this is more virulent than thought and spreads far easier than we've been led to believe.

A second wave is coming for this and history shows its always worse. You always get a second wave because when confronted we lock down and curb it. Then we think it's over, open up, and get burned. But unlike the flu, where we actually caused a measured decline, with this we've only managed to stabilize it at least nationwide.

We have to open up but we have to be smart about it. Shame everything has to be political. Viruses don't give a crap about politics.
